My name is Salowa Siddique and I am Chemistry major who wishes to pursue a PhD in this program. I am a first-generation college student and member of EOP and WISE honors. I am currently a third-year Resident Assistant at Mendelsohn Community, The Future-Ready program for first generation women in STEM, a forever fellow selected by INROADS, and a member of CSTEP. This past summer I worked as a petroleum research intern at Koehler Instrument Company, returned as a second-year Summer Housing Assistant, was a teaching assistant for STEP B research, and worked as office support for CSTEP. In Fall 2023, I will be working as a teaching assistant for WISE, and will start an internship with DPLN since I have been selected by the hosting company: Brookhaven National Laboratory, and have been assigned a mentor. I also plan to be more involved in research and work on my senior thesis.
