My name is Gabriella Simpson, and I am an incoming second-year PhD student in the Department of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. My research interests are Black Geographies, Transnational Feminisms, and Critical Migration and Border Studies. I am a Dr. W. Burghardt Turner fellowship recipient and a lifetime member of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society. I was inducted into the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society when I was a master's student at the University of Albany, and granted lifetime membership because of my extraordinary dedication to leadership and academic service to the university and beyond.
