Margaret holds a BA in psychology from the University of San Diego and an MA in Humanities from the University of Chicago. Her Master’s thesis investigated perspectives as observations of affect in John Milton’s Paradise Lost. She works in the early modern period, and her research interests include affect theory, rhetoric, the history of science, theories of wonder and marvel, and the history of emotions.
Her positions at Stony Brook include GES Treasurer and Co-Digital Manager. She is also a committee member of our Grad Con and co-wrote the 2025 CFP and theme (Webs of Wonder).
