Oct 6    Stony Brook University Portuguese Book Club invites all to a discussion of Brazilian author Itamar Vieira Junior’s best-selling and highly awarded novel Crooked Plow (Torto Arado). Vieira Jr. and Crooked Plow translator Johnny Lorenz will be in conversation with us from SBU to explore literary writing, social justice work, and Brazilian history in contemporary fiction.
