Kristen Smith

"I am an Air Force Air National Guard veteran. I deployed twice to Afghanistan, once in 2008 and once in 2012. My experience in the ANG was as a helicopter mechanic. I come from a family with a background in both maintenance and the military. I received my undergraduate degree from Stony Brook University in May 2010 with a BA in Earth and Space Sciences. I am currently a graduate student at Stony Brook working on an MA in Higher Education Administration. The use of my educational benefits from my military experience allowed me to get to where I am today."
