About the Internship

The Academic and Transfer Advising Services Internship is an enriching college "theory-to-practice" experience that combines classroom learning and application of that learning. The internship provides outstanding sophomores,  juniors and seniors the opportunity to gain leadership and advising experience, improve personal and professional skills, and explore career aspirations while providing assistance to others.

Interested students must complete an application via Handshake and participate in an interview and selection process. This takes place during the spring semester prior to the first semester of internship participation. The required application materials include a resume, a cover letter, planning grid and a list of two references. The application will open around early March on Handshake for candidates to apply to.  Interviews usually get conducted in late March and offer letters will go out early April. 

 

Important Dates  

Application must be submitted by:  2024- 2025 application is closed. Check back in March 2025 for the 2025-2026 application!

Interviews will be conducted: Typically Mid-March 

Applicants will be notified: TypicallyMid-April

Mandatory Training Dates: One training in May (time and date: TBD) and one training in Mid/Late August (time and date: TBD)
