Office of Audit & Management Advisory Services' objective is to assist the President and University Management in the discharge of their oversight, management, and operating responsibilities. The Office's primary activity is to operate the University's internal audit function that independently examines and evaluates the ongoing control processes of the University and provides counsel and recommendations for improvement.

When to file a report: In situations where you believe violations of policies or standards of conduct have occurred, SBU wants you to feel comfortable approaching your supervisor or management about such concerns. However, in situations where you prefer to place an anonymous report in confidence, you are encouraged to use this reporting mechanism, hosted by a third-party hotline provider, EthicsPoint.
