Meet the CEAS Tutors

  • Jeffrey Shum
    Jeffrey
    Jeffrey is a senior pursuing a double major in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Computer Science at Stony Brook University. With over three years of teaching experience, he has made significant contributions as a tutor for the CEAS tutoring program, the Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), and as a teaching assistant for Applied Mathematics (AMS) and Computer Science (CSE) courses. Jeffrey's dedication to education has been recognized with an Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Award from the Department of Applied Mathematics.

    Steven is a third-year mechanical engineering student who is interested in robotic applications in space. When he's not studying, you can find him playing sports or tinkering with the boat in the Solar Racing shop.
  • Bernadette Baroi
    Bernadette
    Bernadette is currently a Sophomore majoring in Computer Engineering at Stony Brook University. She is driven by the creative possibilities that blend technology and art, aspiring to develop innovative solutions in these fields. Outside academics, she enjoys listening to music and staying active through physical activities like running and going to the gym.

  • Anastasia Stankevych
    Anastasia
    Anastasia is a sophomore studying Mechanical Engineering with a strong passion for mathematics. In addition to being a full-time student, she serves as a Resident Assistant for H-Community, fostering a welcoming environment for her peers. Outside of academics, Anastasia enjoys immersing herself in books and films, balancing her analytical and creative sides.
