Dr. Reid is a dedicated researcher, educator, and mentor at Stony Brook University. Her academic journey has been shaped by transformative mentorships through programs like CSTEP, LSAMP, and the Turner Fellowship, which continue to inspire her own commitment to guiding students and early-career professionals. As the Director of the Master’s degree program in Physiology and Biophysics, she fosters an environment of intellectual growth and collaboration. Additionally, Dr. Reid serves as a lecturer in a high-enrollment undergraduate biology course, where she emphasizes the development of critical thinking and promotes intellectual diversity.

Beyond the classroom, Dr. Reid plays a pivotal role on the medical school admissions committee, where she champions holistic application reviews and advocates for diverse perspectives in the selection process. Her passion for mentorship extends to supporting students as they navigate their academic and professional journeys. Outside of her professional endeavors, Dr. Reid enjoys spending quality time with her family, attending soccer matches, and reading.
