About the CIE SBU Scholars Program
The CIE SBU Scholars program provides an opportunity for Stony Brook University PhD students to build community on campus, learn professional development skills, and apply for additional financial support. At its core, this program welcomes eligible doctoral students into the CIE community.
This is one of the several programs coordinated by the Center for Inclusive Education at Stony Brook University and is funded by the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Intercultural Initiatives (DI3).
Why join the CIE SBU Scholars program?
- Grow your campus community by attending CIE social events, and gain a "third place" in the CIE Suite, where you can work, enjoy the open coffee and snack bar, and meet other CIE students from across campus.
- Participate in pedagogy workshops and job market training events.
- Join the CIE's peer-mentorship program for graduate students, which has approximately 60 participants each year from programs across campus.
- Apply for funding to support conference travel, emergency needs, and research-related expenses.
