Hi! My name is Angie, and I’m a sophomore double majoring in Business Management and Globalization Studies & International Relations. I’m passionate about learning new languages and exploring different cultures. I also speak Spanish! I love trying food from all over the world and connecting with people through shared experiences. In my free time, you’ll find me writing, listening to music, or chasing the perfect sunset. I’m so excited to be a GSA and to meet amazing people from everywhere! - Fatima DehpanahEmail Fatima
Hi! I’m Fatima, a Biology major at Stony Brook and an international student originally from Iran. I’m super passionate about research and currently work as an intern at the Stony Brook Cancer Center, where I study how stress in cancer cells affects the immune system. Outside of the lab, you’ll usually find me doing yoga, swimming, or spending time outdoors to recharge. I also recently picked up sewing and have been having fun making some cute dresses for the summer! As someone who’s experienced the challenges of adjusting to a new country and college life, I’m really excited to be a GSA and help other students feel welcomed, supported, and at home here at Stony Brook.

Hi! I'm Maanav (pronounced mah-nav), a graduate student pursuing my Master’s in Computer Science. I’m originally from India and I speak five languages! I love exploring new places, meeting people from different cultures, and trying out unique experiences. When I’m not working on tech projects or robotics, you’ll find me playing snooker, writing poetry, or going for long walks. Hello! I’m Sergei Ivanov and I’m a rising junior majoring in Technology Systems Management. I’m an international student from Moscow, Russia, and I’ve also had the opportunity to live abroad in Turkey and Kazakhstan, where I learned a lot about different cultures. I enjoy being outdoors, cooking, and playing chess. Some of my hobbies include fishing and sailing at Port Jefferson. Hi! I’m Somaya, an international student from Afghanistan and a sophomore majoring in Information Systems. I’m currently teaching myself Japanese and hope to visit Japan one day.
