Discount tickets available to University students for July 20 'Bollywood and Beyond' musical event at Manhattan venue - The landmark Manhattan musical and cultural venue The Town Hall and Indo American Arts Council are proud to present "Bollywood & Beyond"—an extraordinary musical soiree and voyage that celebrates the rich repertoire of Indian music. This fusion experience weaves together the glitz and glamour of Bollywood with the profound depths of classical Indian music. The evening features the mesmerizing voice of Kavita Krishnamurti, a Bollywood icon whose soulful melodies have captured the hearts of millions. Tickets available here.
Chandan Gowda Lecture - The Center will be hosting a lecture on "Living Humanisms and the Tasks of Social Research" by Indian sociologist Chandan Gowda on Thursday, April 25 at 10:00am in Room E4310 in Melville Library. Reception at the Center to follow. The lecture will focus on Gowda's latest book, Another India: Events, Memories, People which seeks to decolonize Indian social science practices. All are welcome!
The Award Ceremony for the Fall 2023 Essay and Photo Contest winners is to be held at the Center during campus lifetime from 1:00 to 2:30 on Wednesday, April 24. Congratulations to the winners!
