Join us for Introduction to Long Island and Queens Native History on Monday, November 18, 2024 in the Student Activities Center, Auditorium, in celebration of Native American Heritage Month. Our guest speaker, Tecumseh Ceaser—a member of the Matinecock Turkey Clan, Montaukett, and Unkechaug Nations—is a cultural
educator and talented Wampum jewelry artist. Tecumseh will explore the vibrant history
and culture of Indigenous communities native to Long Island and Queens. This event
is an enriching opportunity to connect with the region's original cultures and their
lasting impact today.
This event is FREE and open to all Stony Brook University community members and guests.
