Career Closet Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):

What is the Career Closet?

The Career Closet is a resource for students to acquire FREE professional clothing and accessories that they may otherwise not be able to access. Students can "shop" the closet to select professional clothing. These lightly used clothes have been donated through a combination of Stony Brook University staff, students, faculty, and community members, along with our corporate partner, Zebra Technologies.

Can I try on clothing before taking it?

Yes! If you would like to try on any items when visiting our event, you may utilize restrooms in the Student Activities Center (SAC). Upon selecting the items you would like to keep, please visit our check out station.

Does the Career Closet carry clothing in my size?

At the Career Closet, our goal is to promote size inclusivity by providing an array of clothing options spanning various sizes. If you don't find an item in your size, please inform us so we can work to further diversify our selection. Please note however, our supply may be limited based on the items provided through the donations received.
